Pick a Card: Weekly Love Predictions (6/3-6/10)
Hello my loves! Welcome back again for another pick a card reading.
Happy wonderful Wednesday, and I hope you are enjoying my blog so far.
Each of these groups will come with a channeled affirmation. We have some interesting energy here,
so let's get into it! There are some very specific messages that came through during this reading.
Group 1: Cluster of Hearts
For this group, I am seeing that your financial situation and love situation are intertwined this week.
There will be a lot of emphasis on financial freedom and how this ties to your love life.
Some of you will receive some kind of financial support or rescue from a crisis from a romantic partner.
For some of you, there is a more specific message about being financially independent from a former partner who
was draining you or controlling your finances.
In general, many of you were in an obsessive and codependent connection overall. This person had a dangerous obsession

Alternatively, if you were the obsessed one, this could have been an unrequited love situation that became very unhealthy

friends or keep things casual between you, and they refuse to discuss their deeper feelings or have that conversation.
This week, you will be reflecting heavily on this person and deciding whether or not to move forward with them.
In fact, you may have been expecting to meet up with them or have a discussion with them about your relationship this week.
This conversation could be very delayed or may not happen for quite some time. This person is very stubborn.
There is a blockage in this connection tied to someone's sense of confidence, self-esteem or identity. This person may
not feel like they are "good enough" for you. It is also possible that you feel this way, the energies could be reversed
or happening for both of you at the same time. Until you each can move past this, this connection will be at a standstill.
Someone here may be very involved in the single life, or their personal identity is strongly tied to being single or being
a "party" person. One of you may crave the nightlife, frequent a lot of clubs and bars, or social events with a lot of
single people. AKA, one of you acts single even when you are casually dating someone. This could be a huge problem
for the other person, which has prevented this connection from moving forward. Alternatively, one of you could feel
rejected by the other and go out and make risky decisions this week, even if you do not normally do so.
Be mindful of this urge, and stay safe out there. It is not wise to let this person's response dictate your decision-making.

Recipe: Love Drawing Bath
Welcome back to the blog, my loves. I had to skip a week and take some rest after a very interesting blue moon this past weekend.
I hope everyone is feeling more refreshed, aligned, and clearer in their goals this week.
Today, I would like to share a bath recipe for cleansing your heart and inviting in the love you need. Whether you are single
or in a connection, this bath is meant to clear old habits, unwanted energy, and unhelpful emotional frequencies from your love space and
bring out harmony in your relationships. This can also clear any evil eye or negative energy being sent to you by anyone, romantic or not,
and add a little sweetness to all your social interactions.
You will need:
•9 drops Lavender oil
• 7 drops Jasmine oil
• 1 cup Rose water
• 1/2 cup Epsom salt
• Handful of Rose petals
Mix these ingredients together in a bowl while saying the affirmation:
"I open my whole heart to the divine. I am ready to receive and believe I deserve the sweetest and truest love the universe can give."
As the water is running hot, repeat the affirmation three times as your pour and mix the ingredients in the bath.
While you bathe, imagine a bright green light encompassing your heart and gradually growing larger. Imagine all past pain, resentment,
heartbreak, and betrayal disappearing into the light. As it disappears, you are filled with vibrant and passionate love energy.

Book Review: Spells to Get Ahead by Deborah Gray
Hello my loves, and welcome to another fabulous Friday. It is the day of Venus, so remember to
treat yourself and others with love, compassion, and tenderness today.
Today I wanted to share a wonderful book and beginner spell kit with you all. Spells to Get Ahead." by Deborah Gray.
This adorable book and kit were originally produced in 2001, and with the art style it really shows.
I found this one at a discount store personally, but it is still widely available online for a great price.
The spell kit comes with three satin drawstring pouches, three glass cork tubes, and a tumbled quartz crystal.
This makes it a perfect set for beginners and collectors. Everything, including the paperback book, comes in a small box
with its own cover art. Even if you don't use all of the recipes, you will enjoy the whimsical art and colorful pages,
as well as the bonus supplies which I used almost immediately after purchase.
The art throughout the whole book distinctly reminds me of the 'shoe diva' aesthetic of the early 2000s.
If you remember, this visual style was all over girls' media, clothing and toys. It is highly nostalgic for me, so I was
really happy to get my hands on this book. It is truly a gem of that time period, and may become a real treasure someday.
The book is divided into a few sections, such as love and glamour spells, and recipes. I have not tested all of the
recipes or spells in this book for decency or accuracy, but everything looks tasty and fun in general.
The items in the spell kit are of pretty good quality. I have long since used the glass tubes and the white satin pouch, and
I can say they have all lasted a pretty long time. The quartz crystal is still sitting on my altar, and was actually
the very first of my own crystal collection. So, in a sense you could say I was also a beginner when I purchased this kit.
The book contains a lot of good beginner knowledge about spellwork in general, such as history, spell timing,
and a quick rundown on how to use the kit. The five sections are Get Witchy, Get Sexy, Get Lucky, Get Happy
and Healthy, and Get Even. At the end, there is a glossary of terms and more useful info. Even the hex-like spells
are fairly ethical and focus on either protecting the self or stopping and exposing bad behavior. The love spells
are also focused on drawing love to the self instead of crossing lines of consent.
Unfortunatley, some of the moon phase suggestions for spells may not be accurate. For example, no manifestation
work (or any workings really) should be performed on a new moon, despite the book's advice. Although, some of the
timing suggestions are fairly accurate. Mainly, it would be best to use this book as a foundation or inspiration for
your own spells instead of a perfect grimoire or gospel on the craft.
There are some lovely recipes, such as "faerie" milkshakes and edible sugared rose petals, which are made to entice
your lover. The recipes look absolutely delicious, and if I ever test them out I will be posting them to share with you all.
Overall, I give this beautiful book a 7 out of 10.

Deck Review: Marshmallow Marseille Tarot by Wandering Oracle
Welcome back, my loves! Today I am reviewing one of my favorite newer tarot decks. I bought this one on a limited release
from The Wandering Oracle , an indie company who is yet to announce another product drop.
The suspense is absolutely killing me, because I could kick myself for not also purchasing the Tarot Sirene, which is the mermaid-y counterpart
to this beautiful and unique deck. The artwork for both decks is absolutely stunning and I cannot wait to see what else they have to offer us next.
What is the Marseille Tarot?
In case you are not familiar with Marseille decks, keep in mind that they predate the popular Rider-Waite-Smith deck style by roughly 300 years.
What started as a parlor game in 17th century France and Italy was transformed into the divination practice that we are familiar with today.
In 1909, artist and writer Pamela Colman Smith, under the direction of esoteric scholar Arthur Edward Waite, created the popular artwork
that we most commonly associate with tarot cards today.
With the Marseille, the primary difference is that the lower court cards, or Lower Arcana, do not depict any further illustration besides their
suit and number. Much like playing cards, they do not have any additional pictorial meanings that can be easily observed from looking at the cards themselves. However, the Upper Arcana are largely unchanged from the Marseille to the Waite-Smith style.
This means that when using a Marseille deck as a reader, you must become very familiar with the card meanings unless you wish to rely on a
booklet. This can be a struggle for beginners, but it is a great practice tool for advanced or intermediate students of the tarot.
Why I love it
The artwork in this entire deck is so gorgeous, even the Lower Arcana cards have a mystical and folkish art style with beautiful and bright
pastel colors. My favorite card in this deck by far would be The Moon, as it is the most colorful and striking card.
The art style presents a lovely reimagination of the old European original, with the upper cards faithfully labeled in French. For a
Marseille deck, the cards are rather easy to read and recognize even for those that are unfamiliar with this style. This deck is a great
modern spin on a centuries-old theme and it is very aesthetically pleasing.
The design on the back of the cards has a nice holographic sheen. The cards are also a perfect handheld size, which makes shuffling easy.
They come in a cute, pink little box with a magnetic snap shut feature. This deck is perfect for travel, purses, and pockets for readings
on the go.
The Cons
While I do love this deck overall, there are a few things that could be improved. Going back to what I said earlier about a booklet,
this deck does not have one. Beginners beware, you will have to know the card meanings by heart or use a booklet from another deck.
Next is the quality of the cardstock - if you are a heavy shuffler like myself, you may find that the cardstock begins to split or fray at
the edges of these cards pretty quickly. I do understand that this was a small batch, independent release, so no hard feelings here.
Just be aware that this may be more of a collector's deck instead of one that's built for daily use.
Lastly, a little peeve of mine but not a dealbreaker: The design on the back is not fully symmetrical top to bottom, so you are
able to see a reversed card before actually flipping it over. This is only a minor issue that applies to those who read reversals.
My Rating
Overall, I am really in love with this deck and use it very often in my readings. It was actually my first Marseille deck, so if you
are looking for a break from the Waite-Smith style this is a great first purchase. Keep an eye on their website for the re-release though,
as the homepage just says they'll "be back in the Summer".
I would officially rate this deck an 8.5/10. It's fabulous!

"Mini-Cross": A Tarot Spread for Love Readings
Welcome back, my loves! Today I am excited to share with you my mini-cross love spread, which is ideal for any love situation whether you are
single, have a crush, or are in a serious relationship (or situationship!)
This spread is based on the traditional Celtic Cross spread that was popularized by A.E. Waite and included in the booklet for the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck.
The card positions are essentially the same as the original, although I excluded the last four cards from the usual 10-card spread.
This quick, 6 card love reading should help clear up any confusion and stuck energy in your connection. Stick around until the end for a quick
visualization practice to help clear out old energy and bring a fresh wave of clarity to your love life.
When you are shuffling, be sure to focus intently on your romantic connection and how it makes you feel. Sit with this feeling for a moment
before pulling your first card.
Card 1: Current Energy in the Connection
In the traditional Waite spread, this card is "what covers you". In other words, this is the general energy that is surrounding your question,
and all the influences that are acting upon you in this moment.
For the purpose of our love reading, we will be focusing on the general energy surrounding the romantic connection. Consider the
beliefs, attitudes, approaches, and limitations in love coming from both parties. Is there reciprocity? Are you each giving and receiving
equally? What is the overall atmosphere of this relationship?
Lay down this card in the center, then pull the next card and place it sideways over this one...
Card 2: Opposing Forces
This card represents your obstacles in this connection. What is actively or passively working against this relationship?
These forces could be internal, between you and your partner, or external. In the traditional spread, this card is what "crosses" you.
It is important to keep in mind that this card could be a one with a generally positive meaning, which is where your judgment and
interpretation come in.
One possibility is that a "good" card could indicate a very minor problem or unimportant issue. In a sense, this could also indicate that
your own worries are your biggest obstacle. The card could be telling you to relax, or to try not to control the connection so much.
Otherwise, according to Waite, the card may be "something good in itself [that] will not be productive of good in the particular connexion."
In other words, this could be a good thing that is causing you trouble in your relationship. Think along the lines of money, opportunities,
or other positive changes that could create tension or uncertainty in a relationship.
Now that you have laid down that card, pull your next card and set it above the first two...
Card 3: Ultimate Goal or Desire
This card represents the ultimate goal or desire within your connection. In other words, this indicates what direction your relationship
is going. Is this a stable, long-term, marriage-material kind of connection? Is it meant to be a lesson from the Universe instead?
What do you both desire from this relationship? What is the love language being spoken here?
Waite also describes this card as "the best that can be achieved under the circumstances". This is another way to look at this card position,
particularly if there is major struggle in this connection. If the card is less than positive, this may indicate how things will
end up between you.
With that card out of the way, lay the next card below your first two...
Card 4: Foundation of this Connection
The next card represents the foundation of your connection. To put it another way, this is the soil which grows your connection.
This card also indicates the tools you have to work with in order to cultivate this connection. This also shows the events that have
already manifested or come to pass in your connection.
According to Waite, this card is also "the basis of the matter, that which has already passed into actuality." This position is similar to
the first card, but is more specifically about each person's ability to reach one another. Do you have good communication skills,
or is this purely physical chemistry?
After that card, lay the next one down to the left of the center...
Card 5: The Recent Past of this Connection
The following card represents, or confirms, the recent past and events leading up to the present state of your relationship.
Was there tension or bliss? Could the past be informing your current decisions and mutual energy now? What do you need to learn from, or
let go of in order for this connection to work?
To Waite, this card also "gives the influence that is just passed, or is now passing away." This card shows the influences that are
losing their grip on your relationship, to make way for what comes next.
Next, you may turn over your final card and place it to the right of the center...
Card 6: The Near Future, What Happens Next?
This card represents what will happen in the near future of this connection. Keep in mind that if any major, sudden changes
occur after your reading that this may not remain accurate. In tarot, you are mainly checking current energies instead of far-off futures.
Things can change quickly, so you must not hold on too tightly to outcomes predicted in your previous readings.
Nevertheless, Waite tells us that this card is "the influence that is coming into action and will operate in the near future." This card
shows the influences that will soon be acting upon your connection, and the path that you both are currently moving toward.

Now, here's a bonus visualization that will help clear past energy and bring you clarity regarding your love life.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath and hold it for a moment. Visualize a beautiful, calming green or pink light surrounding you.
Slowly release your breath, and when you do so any negative energy will be pushed down through your light body and exit from your feet.
